The Danger to Everyone

Just think how many used packages of food, beverage, pre-cooked and fast food each of us is throwing out EVERY DAY. And now multiply this mass by 8 billion people. It gives more than 30 billion empty packs a day! Oversaturation of plastic utensils and packaging is one of the biggest problems of the modern world.

Plastic bags, cups, cans, containers and correxes, bottles and much more - all this causes COLOSSAL, almost incomparable, damage to our planet. Plastic does not decompose, it cannot be burned safely, and the process of its recycling is expensive and harmful. That is why more than 75% of used disposable plastic tableware and packaging is sent to giant city landfills and becomes their main "inhabitant" for hundreds of years. The main component of almost all plastics is carcinogenic substance vinyl chloride, which not only pollutes our soil and atmosphere, but can cause a number of heavy diseases, including cancer.

In just 50 years, scientists predict the global crisis of freshwater, which will affect not only the inhabitants of arid countries, but also such developed regions as America, Europe, China and Russia.

What Earth do we want to leave them: grey and lifeless or full of rivers, lakes, forests and green outskirts?!

Let’s save the planet together

The Formacia team protects our planet, therefore offers its customers the option to replace plastic with environmentally safe dishes and packaging made of natural materials. We strive to ensure that our activities have a minimal negative impact on the environment.

Ecology is not only an integral part of our strategy, it is the essence of our existence. Our environmental commitments and goals are embedded in our mission, strategy and code of business ethics, and we strive to conduct our business on a long-term sustainable basis.
We have assumed environmental responsibility and are mindful of the consequences at every stage of our activities. All elements of the value chain - from the sourcing of raw materials, through production processes to delivery to the end user.

PLA-coated BIO Packaging

In 2017, Formacia launched production of disposable paper cups from cardboard laminated with biopolymer, which is called PLA. Unlike conventional polymer coating, PLA coating is produced out of annually renewable resources such as corn (corn starch), potato starch and sugar cane and does not contain derivatives of petroleum products.

PLA-coated cardboard is 98% renewable and 100% biodegradable.

Small Doses Cause Big Problems!

Food plastics of different grades have different physical properties. Some are used for carbonated drinks, others for packing yogurt, or semi-finished meat products. However, almost every one of them contains substances dangerous to the human body, which, if the polymer packaging is used incorrectly, get into our body, causing, in the opinion of oncology specialists, the development of complex diseases. The release of all kinds of compounds from plastic is multiplied by heating. Therefore, only special containers can be used in the microwave oven. Cool the food before placing it in a container. Do not turn your food into poison!

Paper has become a Packaging

The most common and dynamically developing alternative to dangerous plastic packaging is paper packaging. Eco-friendly paper is harmless to the human body and is made out of renewable resources, is easy to recycle and is able to rot in natural conditions without harm to our planet. In addition, paper packaging «breathes» and preserves the freshness of the product, all whilst possessing high barrier properties.

Aluminium in Packaging

Due to its barrier properties and its ability to take almost any form, aluminium has been used for commercial purposes for the last 100 years. Every year around 26 million tons of primary aluminium is produced in the world. Without this material, it is difficult to imagine global areas such as space exploration, power transmission and the automotive industry.

Aluminium is also the most versatile packaging material in the world. Packaging made of aluminium is a progressive and rational choice for modern humanity. Banks, bags, blisters, tubes, containers and tear-off lids made of aluminium are in high demand all over the world, as they are 100% eco-friendly, recyclable (reusable infinite number of times), have high indicators of heat resistance and rigidity during transportation, and provide quality protection from external influences.

Aluminium food containers can be used without harm in microwave ovens, subjected to freezing, and heated to temperatures up to + 280°C. You can store and deliver the finished food directly in containers.
